The Health Agency

A Small Action That Could Make a Big Difference

As Chief Executive of The Health Agency, I spend a lot of time thinking about how we can continue to be there for people in our community — today, tomorrow, and in the years ahead.

Like many charities, we’re seeing increasing demand for our services at the same time as funding is becoming more competitive and uncertain. That’s why fundraising has become an ever more important part of how we sustain our work and protect services that people rely on.

I’m sharing this now because The Health Agency has been entered into the Benefact Group Movement for Good Health & Wellbeing Special Draw, where 10 charities will be selected at random to receive £5,000. While the draw itself is random, the number of nominations a charity receives directly affects their chances of being selected.

That’s where you come in.

If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you already know something about The Health Agency — perhaps you’ve used one of our services, supported our work, or simply care about the health and wellbeing of people in our community. I’m asking you to take a small moment to help us safeguard and strengthen that work.

Nominating The Health Agency is quick. It takes around 30–60 seconds, and you’ll be asked for your name, email address, and to answer a small number of questions.

Nominations close on Sunday 24 May

If we’re successful, this funding could help us continue to:

  • Support people to access affordable, nutritious food
  • Provide counselling and CBT for those experiencing mental health challenges
  • Support people and families affected by cancer and long‑term conditions
  • Bring people together in safe, welcoming community spaces, helping reduce isolation and loneliness

As we increase our fundraising activity, moments like this really matter. They allow people who care about our work to play an active role in shaping what comes next.

Thank you for taking the time to read this — and, if you’re able, to nominate and share. Small actions really can lead to meaningful change.
