Active Steps Coordinator

I started work at The Health Agency in 2021 following completion of a BSc (Hons) in Physical Activity and Health. 5 years ago, I lost just under 5 stone and became physically active which improved my physical and mental health dramatically and transformed my life. I am passionate about confronting health inequalities and believe everyone should be able to access support to improve their wellbeing through physical activity and healthy eating, regardless of where they live or their financial status. My role at The Health Agency allows me to do this. I love being able to support people to become more active and eat healthier by empowering them to make person centred behaviour changes to improve their health and wellbeing. Previously I worked as a weight loss consultant, I’m a level 3 personal trainer and have supported many people into running through establishing local jogscotland groups. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my daughters and partner, running ridiculously long distances, catching up with friends, going to music festivals, getting away in our campervan and enjoying food – both eating and cooking it.
